The new Shida 0.75 Isolation Platform is designed as a functional upgrade rather than an accessory. Its purpose is straightforward: to reduce structure-borne vibration and allow associated equipment to operate with greater stability and clarity. Used under a turntable, amplifier, digital source, or DAC, it lowers the noise floor and improves focus without altering tonal balance.

The platform is built around a rigid subframe rated to support loads up to 45kg. An 18mm Keruing plywood top board sits above, selected for its density and self-damping properties. This board is decoupled from the frame via up to ten Shida S55 elastomer pucks. Developed in New Zealand and manufactured using Europe leading vibration control material, the pucks are tuned to provide isolation down to very low frequencies, extending well below the range of many commonly used materials.

In use, the effect is one of increased composure: better defined transients, improved low frequency control, and a more stable stereo image.

Finish is consistent with Shida’s broader approach, hard wax oil for grain definition, French polish for surface refinement, and a polyurethane top coat for durability. The adjustable puck array allows the platform to be levelled and balanced, even under uneven loads such as transformer-heavy amplifiers.
