Custom built Nintendo Switch Arcade Cabinet

FUNCTIONALITY

• IMPORTANT NOTE: Nintendo doesn't let custom/3rd party controllers wake their consoles, so you will still need to either wake the console then insert it OR use a Nintendo controller to wake the cabinet
• Red button not functional - wanted to make a powered way to eject the switch but never got round to it.
• Black buttons are home buttons for both switch controllers
• 2x sets of face buttons and fight sticks
• Remove the joycons before inserting the switch

BUILD & COMPONENTS

• IMPORTANT NOTE: Does not come with a Nintendo Switch
• Compatible with original/OLED Switch, not likely compatible with Switch 2 without cutting a bigger hole in dash and replacing the dock/resizing other parts
• Side walls are made from kitchen cabinet laminate wood
• MDF interior frame
• Quite heavy, strong but external areas could be chipped
• Front dash is made from single sheet of acrylic
• Speaker area made from guitar amp mellotone cloth
• Has a Switch 1 dock mounted within it, insert switch through cassette slot in front to awaken unit.
• Uses 2 Brookes fighting boards to run controllers
• Has a logitech sub and 2x speakers inside, with volume control underneath button area
• AOC monitor inside
• Has additional HDMI & Audio ports - could be used to add a MAME etc for more game support
• Has multi-plug inside, plugs into wall power through single cable out bottom/rear
• Components can be removed/replaced if needed, nothing is permanently fixed
• Is built for a relatively tall person, but can easily use a stool in front of it

• Some minor chips on wood edges around controller area

Has a very premium look and feel, I designed and built it from the ground up, more a cool piece of furniture to keep and use than just a standard arcade cabinet.

Was quite expensive to build, so I'd like to get a decent amount for it or I'd sooner just hold onto it.
