Smooth and creamy, Mellow kawakawa balm has a wonderful green fragrance courtesy of its cold-processed hemp seed oil and shea butter, and is especially good for super dry or cracked skin, or those who can’t have nut products in their sphere. Hemp seed oil can help with developing smoother, happier skin and stronger nails. As with all kawakawa balms, it works great on irritated skin such as razor burn, bug bites and sunburn.

Mellow’s cold pressed hemp seed oil is sourced from a company that grows and presses its oil right here in Aotearoa! Hailing from Canterbury, this new oil is fantastically fresh and deeply nourishing.

Mellow started out as a request from someone for a balm without common allergens – primarily, anything nut-derived. This left hemp seed oil and shea butter as the main ingredients, with beeswax and manuka essential oil – it’s the best of both Thuck and Thun. If you cannot use nut-derived products or have skin sensitivities, this balm might just be the ticket!

Mellow kawakawa balm is exceptionally smooth, creamy, soft and designed to soothe dry and angry skin. It has a green, earthy fragrance and absorbs readily. Give it a try if you have: cracked heels or elbows; eczema or itchy and irritated skin; chapped or cracked lips; dry or damaged cuticles; sore, overwashed hands; or razor burn. Kawakawa balm may also help with minor bruises and joint pain.

To use: take a small amount of balm and gently massage into the affected area until it absorbs. If the balm is cold, you may find it easier to run your fingernail across it backwards. It can also be used as a lip balm – a little goes a long way.
