What is a hydrosol? Hydrosols are also called flower distillates or essential waters and are the product of a special type of steam distillation. Here at Millstream, we produce hydrosols with the use of handpicked plants and our beautiful copper alembic still.

Our hydrosols are the product of pure primary distillation, we make small batches to ensure quality, high potency hydrosol-goodness. All our Hydrosols are made with freshly picked leaves and water, and contain no preservatives.

They are available as blue 50ml atomizer spray bottles for easy use and will last for up to two years if stored in a cool place, out of direct sun. Shake well before use.

White Sage (Salvia apiana) The white sage used for this hydrosol is grown right here at Millstream Gardens, ensuring that the plants are as fresh as can be when they are used in our products. This hydrosol has a strong, clean aromatic scent.

Use the hydrosol in place of burning white sage to help clear negativity from your space including when you want to cleanse and purify a room (it acts as a smokeless smudge). Its properties are listed as anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antimicrobial, not to mention analgesic (pain killing). We use White Sage hydrosol to help clear sinuses and soothe sore throats by simply spraying a few times into the back of the throat.
