How does this ozoniser work? The air pump forces oxygen molecules from the air into the ozoniser. When direct current DC passes through the ozoniser (that is, when you switch it on and run the timer), the oxygen molecules are converted to stable ozone molecules which then pass through the tube into the container of water to disinfect and sterlise. Chemically, the ozone molecules removes microscopic items in air/water by attaching one atom of oxygen to it. The ozone molecule then becomes oxygen molecule, leaving pure oxygen & sterilized air or water.
