Description
Want to sound like dog $#@t - here’s the answer to all your dreams.
3 x solid state practice amps in varying states of undress:
Roland DAC 10 - Arguably the cinderella of the pack. Everything seems to work fine. Sounds ok.
Fender Frontman Reverb Amp - all knobs/buttons seem to do what they say. Condition is a little tatty. There’s a resonant low end buzz when you crank the gain and chug on the low E. Not sure whether mechanical or electronic. Might just be the amp shaking with fear at my brutal riffs. Might not. Don’t care.
Marshall MG30DFX - probably the best sounding of the three, when it’s working…. Issues include, but are not necessarily limited to: Clean volume seems to be stuck on max. OD Gain is jumpy and intermittent (cuts in and out) - thump the top of the amp just right, and it’s golden. Effects not working. Some pots a little scratchy. Missing nut and knob pointer. Loose back panel.
$1 reserve, so as-is where-is. Winner must take all 3.
Pickup only, Remuera, Auckland. No shipping, don’t even ask, it’s not worth the carbon miles.
Edit: Man…the deal gets even sweeter, I’m going to throw in 2 x ¼” cables (one tests fine on the cable tester, one doesn’t, you can guess which is which), a new XLR to RCA cable, and a Zoom 506II Bass which has a missing battery cover and may or may not work (love surprises).
