This zucchini has a lovely buttery sweet flavour. It is slender & long. Delicious firm fine grained flesh. High yielding. Choose a location that receives at least 6 hours of full sun. Plants need a well drained soil enriched with plenty of organic matter. Prepare soil by weeding it thoroughly, digging it over to loosen it & adding aged animal manure or compost

• Sow seeds directly in the garden 20mm deep & 60cm apart, with rows 100cm apart
• Sow in Spring (after frost) & summer
• Keep soil moist but never wet or dry
• Seeds germinate in around 5-12 days at a soil temperature of 20-25°C
• Young seedlings will need protection from pests & weather until they are established
• Zucchini is a tender crop that’s sensitive to frost
• Maturity: About 60 days
• Pick when young & tender, 15-20cm long. Older fruit can become unpalatable
• Picking regularly encourages more fruit
• Susceptible to mildews & pests
• Stagger several sowings over early summer to give a continuous harvest.
• Water deeply in the early morning or late afternoon. Avoid watering the leaves of plants to avoid fungal diseases
• Fruit is ready to harvest when the skin is glossy & the fruit is large enough to eat
• Harvest fruit by cutting it from the vine or bush, leaving a small amount of stem attached
