Native to Brazil, where they are deciduous. So you don’t lose your winter sun! These trees can reach a height of around 10-15m, and a spread of the same size, Jacaranda Growing tips Jacarandas thrive in tropical and warm temperate climates, but they can be grown in cooler areas whit frosts down to – 4 C , Young trees need to be protected from frost. Jacarandas like a sunny position and well-drained, fertile soil, plus regular summer watering. Mulching around the roots with organic material (eg, compost, straw, bark, etc) will help to retain soil moisture in summer.
