Leaves are used as a flavouring in candies, liqueurs, wine & fruit drinks. Delicious in salads, stews, soups & as a seasoning for poultry & veal. Herbal teas & used as remedy for a variety of ailments, digestive & sleep aid. Popular in aromatherapy. Oil is used as a scent in perfumes, cosmetics & toothpaste. Cultivated as a border plant or ground cover. The flowers are grown by beekeepers to support hives. Ornamental in the garden. The popularity of this herb is attributed to the refreshing tea that is made from the leaves & sweetened with honey. It is a common addition to peppermint tea due to its complementing flavour.
Cut leaves continuously from spring to autumn. Plant can be useful in your garden to support pollination. Germination Capacity: This variety is naturally low in germination capacity. 60% germination can be expected. So, buy about 1.5 times the amount you actually need.
