This Downpipe Tap is designed to fit 80mm PVC downpipes. Comes with a 10yr warranty. Takes minutes to install - delivers a lifetime of rainwater your plants & pets prefer! Unlike the Marley Twist that needs to be turned on and off manually, this diverter can do it all automatically. It`s also able to accommodate lager hose resulting in a faster tank fill requiring shorter periods of rain.

How does it work? It is designed on the fact that water always spirals down the inside wall of a downpipe. As a result, most ends up in the circular reservoir surrounding the diverters internal overflow pipe. The diverters outlet feeds water to barrels/tanks until they become full, at which point excess water builds up inside the diverter until it ultimately spills down the internal overflow pipe. For open top barrels the same cut-off can be achieved by installing the diverter at a height where the top of the internal overflow pipe matches the desired optimum water level in the barrel.

20mm diameter hoses fitted with a screw-on coupling listed separately available in 1 x metre or 1.5 metre lengths. (longer options on request)
