With a Network Video Recorder(NVR), the video input comes from the network- the video has already been encoded at the IP cameras. The video is then streamed to the NVR for storage and they can be viewed locally or remotely.

The Foscam QHD NVR FN8108HE is a high definition NVR (network video recorder) and support 8 HD surveillance IP cameras. Featuring 8 Built in PoE ports to use a single network cable for each camera to provide both video and power supply. This recorder supports Foscam PoE camera models connected directly to the back of the NVR and Foscam cameras that are connected to your network by wifi or cable.

FN8108HE supports one 3.5 inch Sata hard disk drive up to 6TB (HDD is not included)(we recommend WD Purple HDD).

The NVR provide both HDMI and VGA interface for connecting to a display directly. And it can be also accessed either via free desktop software (VMS) and smartphone app for iPhone or Android when you are home or away. The NVR device comes with a unique QR code for easy remote access from both mobile devices and desktops.

Video clips may be exported to an external USB thumb drive when needed. Because the Network Video Recorder records with H.264 + video stream compression, storage is optimized. This saves storage space while you keep a good image quality
