The built in zoomable topical maps move in real time with your location. Have used this way more than I thought I would. Altimeter and barometer with weather forecast/warning rounds out the perfect outdoor tool watch

• Keeping fit stats are on tap at any time. Not just steps- heart rate (so no chest strap needed), plus all the physiological metrics you can imagine. Dial up the activity you’re doing- I used the paddle boarding a lot, also gym workout- and it automatically presents the metrics you want for the activity. Also tracked fly fishing trips so I can go back and review specific locations where I spent lots of time /caught fish (; . There are countless more that can be downloaded free from Garmin.
