First edition limited to 200 copies of which this is no. 136. Published London by John Lane, the Bodley Head, 1916. "A Book of Belgium's Gratitude" comprising articles by representative Belgians, together with their translations by various hands, and illustrated throughout in colour and black and white by Belgian artists. Some moving personal anecdotes as well as more formal expressions of gratitude. Very good condition, no jacket. Cream buckram boards with gold and green embossed designs and on spine. Deckled edges. Some foxing on contents but generally excellent condition. Some light splash marks on covers. Bookplate of Violet Wakelin. Approx 2kg . 265mm x 200mm x 50 mm.
