Son Of Dracula (1943) Lon Chaney, Jr. Plays the infamous bloodsucker, travelling through Louisiana as Count Alucard (spell it backwards) and searching for a bride. Atmospheric and often overlooked, this Universal chiller co-stars Louise Allbritton, Evelyn Ankers. 78 min. BW.

House Of Dracula (1945) A monster-studded effort from Universal Studios in which an understanding doctor tries to cure the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney, Jr.) of his lycanthropy and Dracula (John Carradine) of his vampirism. Madness, and Drac-tainted blood, soon get the best of the good doc, leading him to search for and revive Frankenstein's Monster (Glenn Strange). With Onslow Stevens. 67 min. BW.
