The art of Butter Sculpting is big in Iowa and no one is better at this highly prized skill than long reigning champion, Bob Pickier (Ty Burrell). While Bob remains in the State competition, all other competitors are toast, so he caves in to pressure and accepts an early retirement from the comp. Bobs long devoted and ambitious wife, Laura (Jennifer Garner) is furious and sets out to retain the family s domination of the event all on her own. With a masterful creation designed to ah, cream the opposition, Laura looks like a serious contender. However when two formidable opponents enter the fray: including an 11 year old girl; Laura realises she will have to do more than butter up the judges if she is to win. She will be churning out the insults and spreading rumours thick and fast; otherwise Laura s longtime role of being on top may well melt away.

Featuring a stellar supporting cast including Hugh Jackman, Alicia Silverstone and Olivia Wilde, Butter is a full fat comedy that dishes out the laughs with delicious results.
