If you only buy one electronic synthesizer, make the GR-55 your choice. With over 900 tones that you can mix and match in infinite combinations, you'll never be needing to find "just the right sound" again. I love the extra attention to guitar matching with pickups and amps. It gives you the possibility to play any guitar sound. I also like the fact that you can tune each individual string up or down four octaves. I have my GR-55 set up with a Fender GC-1, which is a factory Stratocaster modified with a GK-3 module built into the body, synth controls right by the volume knobs and a 13-pin connection. Once the guitar is set up properly, and the GR-55's setup is done, the GR-55 is extremely responsive. Whether you're a novice or an old pro, the GR-55 has it all.

This synth is in great knick and looks pretty much brand new. Only a couple of years old. These are retailing for $1500 currently at the Rockshop.
