PUBLIC ENEMY – FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET “Yeeeaahh Boyeeeee!!!!!!” Public Enemy’s mighty 1990 album Fear Of A Black Planet busts out a fresh batch of kickin’ beats, crazy samples ‘n’ sirens from The Bomb Squad and raging raps from Chuck D and Flavor Flav.

There’s a lot of cool stuff on here, like the incendiary ‘Burn Hollywood Burn’, the phat Flav funk ‘911 is a Joke’, the massive groove of ‘Welcome To The Terrordome’ and the funky ‘Brothers Gonna Work It Out’ which lopes along on a shuffling groove supported by lashings of squalling rockin’ guitar.

My favorite though, is the mighty syncopated pissed-off banger ‘Fight The Power’....hell yeah!
