HUEY [LMA ID#19791]

Personality: Huey is a big 6.3kg lovable boy who absolutely adores people. He'll greet you with a cheerful miaow, asking for attention, and he's more than happy to be picked up and carried around like the gentle giant he is. When Huey first arrived, he was looking a little rough around the edges — but with good food and some TLC, his coat is now sleek and shiny, and his old battle scars are nearly healed. One of Huey's greatest joys in life is catnip. Watching this hefty boy roll around in delight with a catnip toy is pure entertainment. He's also completely obsessed with food — so much so that it can be a bit of a challenge to fill his bowl while he's trying to dive in headfirst! Treats are a favourite too, especially cooked chicken — just keep an eye on your fingers, as his excitement can get the better of him!

Ideal Home: Huey is FIV positive, but don't let that put you off. He's otherwise in great health and just needs to be kept indoors to protect his immune system and prevent the spread to other cats. With proper care and a loving home, cats like Huey can live long, happy, and healthy lives. He gets along with other cats but can sometimes be a bit overenthusiastic in his play, so a home with another FIV+ cat would be OK. Huey is not a fan of dogs though. He has been fostered with older children and came from a home with a toddler, so he's used to busy households. However, due to his size and rougher play style, we recommend a home with children who are confident around cats and can understand his playful energy.
