The Cats Protection League is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats and kittens. You are welcome to visit our cattery where our experienced staff will introduce you to cats who will fit your lifestyle and be a pleasure to own. Cats are individuals so please do not be offended if we steer you towards cats other than the one that first caught your eye.

One of the cats available is ALFIE.

Handsome Alfie is about 7 years old. Confident and friendly, he can be very smoochy and will let you know when he has had enough. He is okay with children - probably best with older kids who know to respect his boundaries - but has never been around dogs.

Alfie came into CPL care when his owner passed away. He was one of several strays that the gentleman had taken in and cared for over the years.

Alfie has tested positive for FIV. Cats who carry this virus usually lead otherwise healthy lives, but need to be indoor-only as they can infect other cats. There is no risk to humans or other animal species.

All our cats have been vet checked, desexed, tested for feline aids and leukaemia, wormed, defleaed, microchipped and vaccinated. We will always take them back if it does not work out.

Our website is http://www.cats.org.nz and the cattery is situated at 14 Charlesworth Street, Woolston. It is open 11.00am to 2.30pm Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, 11.00am to 3.00pm Saturday.
