Meet Ziggy, a handsome ginger tabby and white boy with a gentle nature and a long history with people who care about him.

Ziggy was found as a young kitten in the bush near Horeke with his brother Tommy, and came into care at around 4 months old. He has been part of the journey ever since and has lived a full life with plenty of space to explore.

He’s spent most of his time on a large farm with bush, open land, and lots to keep him interested. While he used to be quite adventurous, these days Ziggy is much more settled and enjoys a quieter pace of life.

Ziggy is a friendly, people-oriented cat who enjoys companionship, especially when it comes with food. He is affectionate and likes being around his humans, but he also appreciates having things on his own terms and a calm environment where he can relax.

He would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can enjoy attention without the stress of other animals. A peaceful, low-traffic home would suit him best. He has had some exposure to dogs in the past but has not lived closely with them.

Ziggy is used to having outdoor access but also enjoys the comforts of home, and would likely settle well into a relaxed indoor-outdoor routine.

Ziggy has feline chronic gingivostomatitis, a condition that is being actively managed. He is being offered as a permanent foster through The NZ Cat Foundation, which means any vet care related to this condition will be covered. This does require occasional visits to our vet in Kumeu, so his foster home will need to be able to assist with transport.

Ziggy is desexed, vaccinated, wormed, and flea treated, and is ready to head to his forever home.
