Sophie is a beautiful, playful, very endearing little girl who desperately wants love, but fear still gets in the way. She needs a calm, patient home willing to give her the time and understanding she deserves.

Food is the quickest way to Sophie’s heart. While eating, she happily accepts pats, purrs loudly, and does enthusiastic biscuits and treats earn extra bonus points. She also absolutely loves playing and will happily interact with you for hours, even when she’s feeling too shy for affection.

Once she starts getting comfortable, Sophie becomes very smoochy, even with other cats, and enjoys their company but also needs her own space sometimes. She may do best as an only cat, while building confidence with people, although a calm, affectionate cat could also help her continue learning to trust.

Sophie cannot currently be picked up, as it frightens her. Sophie will need months, possibly longer to fully relax and trust her new family.

Sophie needs:

• A quiet, calm home
• A patient, understanding adopter
• Plenty of play, love and reassurance
• Someone willing to let her progress at her own pace

Underneath all the fear is a loving little cat trying so hard to be brave. Sophie just needs someone special to help her fully feel safe.

All our cats are: Desexed Wormed Flea-treated Vaccinated Microchipped come with a Collar and ID tag.

We ask for an adoption fee of $100 for Sophie to help cover our costs.
