Good with dogs: Yes. Good with cats: No. Good with children: School-aged children and older. Alone time: 1 - 4 hours.

Opal's foster writes:

Opal has quickly become a beloved part of his foster family, which includes two adults and two children (10 & 13). He thrives on being part of the action - whether he’s snuggled up on the couch, playing tug-of-war, joining the school run, or cheering on the kids at sports.

He adores people, especially older children, and greets them with the enthusiasm of a young dog still mastering his manners. Opal is learning calm greetings and polite paws on the ground. Around other dogs, he’s playful and bouncy, always ready for a quick game before settling down. He’s respectful if another dog isn’t in the mood to play, showing his growing social skills.

Opal is crate trained, toilet trained, and knows his basic commands - sit, down, wait, touch, and look. He attends fortnightly puppy classes, where he’s building confidence, refining his manners, and making great progress!

With a medium energy level, Opal strikes the perfect balance between play and cuddle time. He loves being included in daily life and will thrive in a home where he can join in on walks, car rides, and family adventures - or just hang out and relax with his people.

Opal is a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with laughter, snuggles, and fun. He would do best with a family ready to continue his obedience training, include him in everyday life, and shower him with love, attention, and cuddles.
