Nico's foster writes:
For a puppy, Nico is refreshingly chill. He loves to quietly follow you from room to room before curling up nearby to keep you company. He’s affectionate without being clingy, happy to relax in the backyard on his own, and confident enough to entertain himself - though he’ll never say no to joining his dog friends for a splash through puddles or a bit of fun.
Nico is fantastic with other dogs and shows lovely manners around older dogs, giving them space and respect. He also enjoys meeting new people and is friendly and social by nature. As he’s still young, continued socialisation with both people and dogs will help him grow into a well-rounded adult.
This clever boy has already made great progress with training. Nico is crate trained, happily snoozes in his crate during the day, and sleeps quietly through the night. He’s learning basic obedience commands and is already sitting on cue. Toilet training is coming along well - while he’s not asking to go outside just yet, he reliably goes when taken to grass and given his cue.
Due to his breed mix, we expect Nico to grow into a large, strong dog with a high energy level. Nico will need secure 1.8 - 2 metre fencing, plenty of daily exercise once fully grown, consistent training, and someone home for most of the day.
If you’re experienced, active, and looking for a smart, loyal companion who’s equal parts affectionate and adventurous, Nico might just be your perfect match.
Please note: Nico requires a home experienced with Husky or Shepherd breeds.
