Meet Tommy, a loving 5 and a half year old retradoodle.

Social: Great with other dogs and people (we have 3 kids).

Health: Fit and healthy - has been on near daily walks and runs over the years.

Food: Eats kibble and wet meat (prefers the latter).

Vet: Has been spade and has all relevant vaccinations. No known ailments and has had regular vet visits. Has microchip and registered with council.

Behaviour: We live on corner site in city fringe Auckland and Tommy likes to bark and has a fascination with scooters and posties to the point where he will chase (not aggresively, more out of enthusiasm and perhaps some anxiety). We have attempted over time to reduce the stimulation but to no avail - mainly due to lack of time and we just can’t give him the attention and training he needs around this issue.

Tommy would suit a more rural property or someone who has the know-how or time to train this behaviour out of him.

Other than that, he is generally pretty good. Recall is good, sits on command, fetches balls, playful. He could be better on the training front but he’s not far off.

This is not an easy decision but one we have to make.
