Hi I'm Angie Peanut's foster mum. Peanut (turning two in July) is looking for a wonderful new home. Her mum and dad went through a relationship breakup and neither were able to find a pet friendly rental property.
I've been fostering Peanut for a month now and she has settled in so easily, it's like she's lived here her whole life.
Peanut really is quite perfect in my eyes. She's amazing with my children. Loves to play ball, loves to chase around with soft toys. Loves to snuggle with the kids - she really is a big softie.
She's really easy to walk, she doesn't pull or act silly when out and about. Really beautifully behaved.
I have cats, and I know Peanut lived with a cat. Shes gets pretty excited with my cats but not in a worrysome way.
Peanut loves to chew sticks, loves to play endlessly with my dog, loves to play in the waves at the beach, loves car rides.
She would make a wonderful family pet, so so gentle and responsive with kids. Definitely not a lone dog who has to be left at home all day though. She's extremely social and has never been left too long on her own without company of another dog or people.
I'm based in Waiuku, if you'd like to know more or meet Peanut please touch base. I would keep Peanut in a heartbeat to join my own dog family, if I didn't have a husband!
(For any family that adopts Peanut, I'd welcome her back for dog-sitting whenever her new family needed - holidays, weekends away etc. My children would really love to keep in touch.)
