Leela is a very sweet girl who loves going for walks and exploring with people. She is very affectionate. She’s happy being around people and will relax comfortably when given space. Leela is extra special, as she has only one eye.

Tamariki – 10+ due to energy level and training needs Cats – Good doesn’t seem to show any interest Kuri – Interacts well with other dogs Stock/poultry – Not tested; would need the right introductions Size – is on the taller side and arrived a tad underweight is currently putting on weight

Leela is looking for an active home where she can join in on adventures with her family. She would be best suited to a household with children aged 10+, due to her size and the ongoing training she will need. She would also benefit from having an older canine sibling to live with her and provide companionship.

PLEASE NOTE

• Walk-in viewings at Pukekohe Adoption Centre, 15 Austen Place, Pukekohe are between 10.30am–2.30pm Thurs–Tues.
• All members of the family (inc dogs) are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
• Fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
• It is not first in first served; we aim to find the best home for each dog.
• If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to you.

The adoption fee is $450
