Meet Lily- From motorway rescue to learning what safety feels like
Lily is a young female, estimated around 10–12 months old, now desexed and ready to start the search for her forever home.
Her story began in frightening circumstances, found running loose in the fast lane of a motorway near the airport, terrified and with nowhere safe to go. Despite her fear, Lily chose to trust the person who stopped for her, and that moment marked the beginning of her new life.
Since coming into care, Lily has started to show who she truly is underneath the fear: a sweet, gentle, and affectionate young dog who is slowly learning the world can be kind.
She is:
- Female, approx. 10 -12 months old
- Desexed
- Social with other dogs
- People-loving and affectionate once she feels safe
- Playful and full of personality
- A mix of independent and people-oriented
Lily enjoys meeting new people and is friendly and open once she has a moment to settle. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and is happy to engage in play or simply coexist alongside them.
She has a lovely independent streak and can happily entertain herself with toys and downtime, but she also enjoys being near her humans and finding comfort in their presence. As she settles more into home life, her confidence continues to grow every day.
Like many young dogs with a difficult start, Lily is still learning about the world and building her confidence. She will thrive in a patient, understanding home that can continue to guide her gently and help her feel secure.
Lily would suit a home that can offer:
- A calm, stable environment
- Continued reassurance and routine
- Positive social experiences
- A loving family ready to help her continue blooming
This girl is full of potential - gentle, funny, affectionate, and already showing the beginnings of a truly loyal companion.
After everything she’s been through, Lily is ready for the next chapter: a home where she is safe, loved, and never has to wonder again.
