Rex rabbits have short, even fur – like a mink blanket on legs! Plush & soft, their fur has a category of its own and is more luscious than 'normal fur'. They are the thoroughbreds of the rabbit world. Rex are affectionate on their own terms, such as being stroked while still keeping all four feet firmly on their own floor. Nose rubs? Yes please! Highly intelligent, they will make a great adult's companion, although less likely to appreciate being picked up. If purchasing for children, adult supervision is required to ensure correct handling as the high-strung Rex energy does require gentleness. From playful antics to quiet moments of companionship, these rabbits will quickly become an integral part of your daily routine, adding a touch of individuality to your household.

Baby bunnies will come with a portion of pellets and hay as changeover feed. They are being fed unlimited hay, grass and pellets, and an occasional pinch of Black Oil Sunflower Seeds to support the demands of a young growing body (check out my other listings).

For pet homes, we strongly recommend neutering your rabbits to ensure they retain their sweet natures and to protect against reproductive-related illnesses and cancers. Males are the friendliest companion rabbits if neutered at 4-5 months. Kits & parents are outside rabbits, they wear a coat of fur to keep them warm in winter.

Happy to accommodate viewing, Saturdays only; if you would like to put a baby rabbit on hold, we require a $15 non-refundable deposit. I can meet you in Thames, or deliver to Hamilton/North Waikato for an additional $15 fee, some Sundays only.
