Description

This lovely art glass vase was made by Kent Le Grand from Western Australia in 1999. The natural environment inspired much of his work and this piece has the feeling of sunrise on the ocean with a swirling orangey sky and blue waves like those in the famous Hokusai woodblock print. Perhaps it was inspired by a surfer’s morning view. Sadly, there won’t be any more of these as he passed away in 2011. Le Grand was a highly regarded glass artist (note in some places his name is spelt Le Grande) from the Margaret River area of Western Australia. The vase is signed on the base by the pontil mark.

Please look closely at the photographs as they form part of the description. If you have questions I will do my best to answer them.

Please have a look at my other listings of antique and vintage pieces. I'm always happy to combine for postage. If selecting more than one item please pay the higher shipping cost and select combined shipping on the other item so it can be included at no additional charge.
