This auction is for a vintage mid-sized traditional teapot. It was made in Yorkshire by the Clokie and Masterman Pottery which was based in Castleford, Wakefield in the West Riding of Yorkshire. The company was the last Castleford pottery to close in 1961 so this teapot was most likely made in the 1950s although it could be earlier.

The teapot is a lovely cream colour. Please note it appears paler in the photos. It has a 2-4 cup capacity and a traditional design. It is a good weight for keeping your tea hot, nicely balanced and pours beautifully.

In excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, lovely and clean inside. it is marked on the base C&M for Clokie and Masterman.
