The 1973 Jasper plate features the Tower of London as viewed from across the Thames – displaying some truly superbly handcrafted bas-relief work by the Wedgwood artists. As seen in the photo, Christmas 1973 is embossed in blue. This 20 cm diameter plate is in very good condition and features at the border a reef of holly leaves in bas-relief.

This plate was produced only in 1973 and according to Wedgwood the original moulds were destroyed and no further copies were made.

So here is a chance for the serious collector, but obviously can also be a gift of real value for x-mas. This plate comes with a brief description, produced by Wedgwood, for its Tower of London X-mas plate, also providing some brief background the Jasper process.
