The Hobie Mirage Adventure Island is a fast trimaran sailing kayak. With a furling, battened mainsail, MirageDrive "flip-flop" pedal system, retractable centerboard and rudder, large amas and trampoline kit, plug-in wheel cart, this very stable kayak even provides fun for two!

Multiple hatches, on-deck stowage, molded fishing rod holders, and the dry bottom Vantage seating encourage multi-day adventures, while the MirageDrive offers paddle-free motion, making it easy to quickly get to places e.g. in the Bay of Islands, Hauraki Gulf, Lake Taupo or those South Island lakes and sounds.

This newer past 2016 model "Hobie AI" is also a great bluewater-capable fishing platform, 5m long with plenty of space for the gear, or you can leave the sail at home to pedal or paddle.

As the photos show, we setup a rig on that modified boat trailer and put our rooftop tent above, for great camping holidays. But it can also be used to transport additional kayaks.

This auction is for the complete Hobie Adventure Island incl. amas, mast, sail, mirage drive, seat, trapeze, paddle, and wheel-cart (we bought it new at nearly $11k), while the perfectly sized trailer (near new condition, only used to carry the Hobie, has never been in the water, incl. these practical H-bars where the rooftop tent is currently fitted onto) is available too, just make an offer. I could also throw in some life vests or other useful gear if required.
