Payment Information

At Melody Likes, we like to keep things simple and flexible! You can pay using Afterpay, Ping, or Bank Transfer — whatever works best for you.

When to Pay Payment is due within 2 days of winning an auction or receiving your invoice. This helps us get your goodies packed and shipped nice and fast!

Paying by Bank Transfer If you’re paying by bank transfer, just let us know so we can email you an invoice with all the details you’ll need — including the account number and your payment reference.

A quick heads-up: our accountant manages the bank account for Melody Likes, so the account name might look a little different. Don’t worry — that’s totally normal! As long as you use the account number and reference from your invoice, your payment will go through smoothly.

Shipping Information

99% of parcels from Melody Likes are sent tracked via NZ Post so you can keep an eye on your treasures every step of the way. You’ll automatically receive tracking details once your parcel has been picked up. Note: If you have opted for sending your stickers via snail mail, there will not be any tracking.

Processing & Delivery Times Please allow up to 2 working days for us to carefully pack and ship your order, and up to 3 working days for it to reach you. (Rural areas may take a touch longer.)

Pickup Option Pickup is available from Wairoa, Tauranga by prior arrangement. Just message us to organise a convenient time.

Combined Shipping Yes please! We’re happy to combine shipping for:

• Auctions that close within 3 days of each other
• Orders paid via bank transfer

Once your auctions have wrapped up, simply send us a quick email and we’ll confirm your total combined shipping cost before you pay.

Hi, I’m Melody — and I truly have one of the best jobs on the planet! I spend my days hunting down old-school toys and finding them new homes with people who light up with that same spark of nostalgia I felt as a kid. There’s nothing quite like the joy that comes from reconnecting someone with a cherished childhood treasure.

Before starting Melody Likes, I worked in the world of corporate and government contracting — challenging, rewarding, and at times, all-consuming. In May 2024, I took a leap of faith and turned my lifelong love of vintage toys into something bigger: a business born from the magic and memories of the toys I shared with my younger brother growing up.

We were a true tag team — sneaking out of bed at 5am to spin our Peter Pan LP, dancing around the lounge like rockstars. He taught me how to rebody G.I. Joe figures, and we’d spend hours giving them makeovers. We begged our parents to rent gaming consoles so we could play Alex Kidd and Mario Bros until our eyes went square.

I adored Barbie, Jem, and Stormer from The Misfits. I’d sew them outfits and cruise them around in my shoes (aka “Rockin’ Roadsters”). My Globug plush lit up my nights, and I had handmade Strawberry Shortcake pillows stitched with love. My first watch? A magical iridescent Watchimal snail that swallowed my tiny wrist. I owned just one My Little Pony — Moonstone — and longed for a Care Bear, until I finally found one at a school gala, lovingly handmade from felt.

School days were filled with marbles, elastics, Garbage Pail Kids cards, and Saturday morning cartoons — Fraggle Rock, Transformers, He-Man, and Kiwi favourites like WhatNow and Playskool. At night, Mum or Dad would read from The Faraway Tree or Richard Scarry, filling our dreams with wonder.

Those memories — of laughter, imagination, and love — are the heart of Melody Likes. My mission is to help others relive that same magic, one vintage toy at a time.
