With the recent addition of the 1:18 scale Ford Ranger Raptor to our growing suite of models, everyone here at Authentic Collectables felt that the Repco Supercars Championship Recovery Vehicle made perfect sense to be one of the releases that made up our limited-edition Raptor range.
Following on from our very well received Mustang Supercars Safety Car release, this is another Supercars category model which we think will be a really different and interesting model that both racing and Ford off-road fans can add to their collections.
Dubbed by many of Australia's motoring experts as the toughest truck in town, the Ranger Raptor is the hero of Ford's Australian off road range. It features bespoke external styling, is wider, sits higher and features some really impressive off-road credentials, one of which is the tow hooks on both the front and rear making it the perfect official recovery vehicle option for Supercars in partnership with Ford.
It definitely looks the part. On top of the largely standard Raptor package is the high visibility Ford Performance Recovery Vehicle livery adorned over the stunning blue exterior colour scheme. That combined with the roof mounted light bar and a special communications package makes this Raptor look incredible.
