1977 Triumph Other Spitfire 1500

Up for sale is my 1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500.

This car has been in our family since the 1980s when my grandmother purchased it while on holiday in the UK and had it shipped back to NZ. Recently she has gone into a home and I have taken care of it since. My grandfather was a mechanic so he maintained the car regularly up until he was unable to recently.

This car has always been garaged and since I have taken ownership it has stayed that way. Ive made the hard decision to part with the car as I just do not drive it as much as it deserves to be driven.

She’s is in no way a mint classic, there are bits of paint that has flaked away etc but she is a very drivable and enjoyable car, especially in summer which is fast approaching! The car has a nice patina in my opinion and I have not touched up any of the paint work myself as I like the original aspect to it. The soft top is in good condition however some buttons are missing but I have not noticed any leaks when it rains.

There is no rust on the body that myself or my mechanic can see - only minor surface rust which I treat regularly when it pops up. Mechanically the car is very sound and haven’t had any issues driving. It could possibly benefit from a tune up as this probably hasn’t been done in a while.

The car has just passed a new WOF this week and this is valid until next year along with rego for the car.
