Welcome to Mount Eden

Mount Eden, Auckland

Mount Eden blends suburban charm with urban convenience, and it’s easy to see why it's one of New Zealand’s favourite suburbs. Think tree-lined streets, character homes, and a vibrant village vibe. Young families are drawn to the area with access to esteemed schools like Epsom Girls' and Auckland Grammar. Commute into the city? No worries! You're just a 10-15 minute ride away, with frequent buses and proximity to major roads. Residents enjoy the beautiful parks nearby, especially Mount Eden itself, the iconic dormant volcano. Make it to the top and you’ll be rewarded with 360-degree views of the city and harbour. Special mention goes to this suburb for being the home of our legendary Eden Park, where the All Blacks do their thing and big events come to life. And for the foodies? Dominion Road, with its array of popular eateries, is right on your doorstep. Say no more! Life in Mount Eden Lying 4km to the South of Auckland CBD, the community of Mt. Eden centres around Mt. But that’s not all Mount Eden offers to its residents and visitors. Among the suburb’s standouts are: Er...Mount Eden: Maungawhau (Mt. Eden) is the dormant volcano from which the suburb takes its name. A stroll (or jog, for the braver among us) up to its summit will reward you with panoramic views of most of Auckland’s most recognisable attractions. It’s also well worth taking a trip to the nearby Maungawhau Visitor Experience Centre to learn about the Māori cultural history and geology of the site. Eateries: You’re really spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking in Mt. Eden. Along Dominion Road you’ll find a buzzing and culturally diverse cuisine to suit every taste. Alternatively, the stylish cafes and bars on Mt. Eden road offer a great place to relax with a book or catch up with friends. Transport Transport links are crucial when house hunting.
