Description

This little piece of paradise is the perfect beach spot hideaway and has a colourful history. A character stone home with magnificent views to the sparkling waters of the Firth of Thames.

Renovated and partially rebuilt a few years ago this property has some interesting features.

Enter a spacious and bright living room with a lovely high ceiling and natural light. Open plan, the dining area and a galley style kitchen enjoys a butlers’ pantry with great storage shelving and work space.

Along the hall there are three large double bedrooms. One of these is very large and has plenty of space for lounge furniture, computers and washing facilities. Maybe a bit of a retreat for a young or elderly family member or great as a studio or workspace. A bright and functional family bathroom services these bedrooms and has walk in shower, vanity and toilet.

A separate large suite adjoining the home, but accessed by its own entrance, has a gorgeous bedroom area, a small dining and utility area and a wonderful ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. This suite is currently used as an Air BnB and is very successful and popular. Hardly surprising as the views from the bed and the small deck outside are across to the sea and the Coromandel Ranges. No better peaceful spot than this as many visitors will attest to.

There is a separate laundry and storage room. Tucked away to the side of the home there is a very quaint outside shower facility making life at the beach a little bit more fun! Handy for extra family and friends when they come to stay, there is plenty of space for parking boats, campers, kayaks or fishing gear in a high stud carport or open front utility shed.

Adjacent to the front of the house there is a concrete pad which previously had been built on. It’s plumbed and wired so maybe options could be explored for creating something here.

A little away from the house is a cute cabin, designed as a peaceful yoga space it is now leased by an artist who enjoys inspiration from the amazing views.

Locally there is a great outdoors to explore and enjoy with Waharau Regional Park and its wonderful bush walks a couple of minutes up the road. Or, just a stones’ throw away, relax and enjoy endless strolls along the beach or fishing for your supper.

The local village of Kaiaua is a couple of minutes’ drive away, with the Pink Shop and playground on the way. Kaiaua has a friendly community, a busy local boating club, plenty of fishing competitions and Sunday markets in the Summer, garage with full mechanic workshop, two shops and a pub with family restaurant.

Large service towns of Pukekohe and Thames are about 40 minutes away. Commute to Auckland and come home to your own piece of paradise. The Kaiaua Primary school is just down the road and a bus to the very well thought of Hauraki Plains College. This is a wonderful place for a family to live.

If privacy, beautiful views and a character home sounds interesting don’t wait to come and take a look … Ring today!
