Description
Drinking Horns were used throughout history as vessels to drink from.
Ideal for beer festivals, historical reenactment, live action role play or just something unique to drink from.
We can source a wide variety of different sized drinking horns made from cow horn. The horn is sourced from domestic cattle. Being a natural product the shape and colour will vary from item to item.
This particular horn has been hand carved with a checkered pattern to create a simple but stunning effect
The horns have been boiled and cleaned thoroughly, waterproofed and then polished. so you can drink out of them straight away although we recommend a quick rinse with warm water before you use them for the first time. The horn may have a slight pungent smell which is from the food grade varnish. It will fade with washing and use and does not affect the taste of whatever drink is in it.
Each horn comes a hand forged iron stand so it can be stood upright on a bench, table or on the ground.
Also cleaning your drinking horn with some form of natural oil occasionally will increase its life.
The horn we list here here is about 30 cm long and has a capacity of about 250 - 350 ml.
