Ever wondered what Maori hill looked like before there were any houses? Wonder no more.
Beautiful historic survey map. I can't see a date but it has the logo of J. W. A. Marchant. The surveyor general between 1902 and 1906
Still has beautiful detail but there is a great deal of wear and tear.
It seems to have been done by W.D.B. Murray. Chief draughtsman at the department of land survey, Wellington.
