The dimensions of this drawing are 102 x 78 mm. The drawing is mounted in an acid-free mount, and framed in a giltwood frame and glazed.

This charming drawing sits within the rich tradition of Dutch landscape art, with a characteristically low horizon emphasising a vast sky, here punctuated by a Gothic steeple and birds on the wing. In the foreground two figures man a type of vessel appropriate to the waterways and coastal shipping of the Low Countries. A number of Meijer’s works are found in the collection of the celebrated Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
