This is a historical souvenir pocket knife produced for the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition held in 1940. The piece was manufactured in Sheffield, England, and features commemorative text celebrating the 1840–1940 centenary.
Commemoration: New Zealand Centennial Exhibition 1840/1940.
Origin: Made in Sheffield, England (stamped on tang).
Blades: Dual folding carbon steel blades.
Handle: Grey marbled/pearlescent celluloid scales with a blank metal inlay shield on the reverse.
