Breakdown:
- WM = William Moulson, 1841-1849 (mark is imprinted backwards on fork)
- Lion Passant = Guaranteed 92.5% pure silver
- Leopard's head (uncrowned) = assayed in London Assay Office between 1822-1890
- This specific gothic Letter f = assayed between 1841-1842
- Monarch's head to the left = tax paid to Queen Victoria between 1837-1890
This places the piece as being created in 1841-1842
Beautiful fiddle pattern
Marked cursive "C" on the upwards facing side is the original owner's initial
