A neat original old, what I take to be, a hay or silage cutter spade like tool as per photos. (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc and make things look brighter & better than they really are) I think it looks really quite neat and would look good restored etc, or just hang up as a rustic old impliment tool piece. I think it is reasonable condition for its age. It has cast steel stamped into the steel The steel still looks good and solid, although obviously has surface rust (a real good power wire brush would make a huge difference) But the steel itself is still good and strong - NOT rusted through. The wooden handle looks ok, still looks strong enough even though it shows cracking and a few borer holes (but does not look to be borer ridden - treat with meths or kero etc) It weighs approx 4 kg. Measures approx 890mm odd total length, handle is approx 495mm odd wide. The cutter part measures approx 350mm odd long & about 300mm odd wide at its widest. Measurements are given, so compare those measurements with something you already have to give you a good idea of size. There are a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state and condition etc, and to help you decide its value to you & its suitability to your use or purpose, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition and other things you may want to know. And if not sure, ask a question !!!! We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk.
