A truly inspiring work by one of New Zealand’s best-known artists Dean Buchanan.

Signed and dated 06 this is an earlier work by Buchanan portraying a waterfall emerging from a dense organic central landscape arrangement that is surrounded by concentric circles and external rectangular frames each with independent oceanic scenes.

Buchanan has used a brilliant display of colour tones in this painting with beautiful deep ocean blues and lush greens, oranges, yellows and browns that characterise the artists perception of organic landscape forms.

This painting truly draws the observer in with its raw vitality that reflects New Zealand's rugged scenery offering a plethora of vivid lively and energetic images.

Dean Buchanan

Dean Buchanan is one of New Zealand’s best-known artists from an early age he showed talent, painting large oils that demonstrated both technical brilliance and a close affinity with the natural world. During the past thirty years he has become probably New Zealand’s most prolific painter, as well as one of the most instantly recognisable.

Painted on canvas and is in very good condition.
