An excellent New Zealand landscape, oil on canvas (mounted on board) painting by recognised Palmerston North artist, the late Maurice Brookes - A beloved member of the art community.

Recognized by several local awards, including the Premier Award for painting in oils and acrylics in 2008, from the Fielding and District Art Society & Recognition from the Taranaki art awards.

The painting is backed on a heavy frame, that is unglazed. There are a few minor scuffs around the corner of the work.

The piece is signed, dated and titled on verso.

An earlier work. Excellent contrast, with hues of blue, green, and yellow. Nice geometric composition.
