A good sized & very neat looking painting signed J Torrington Bell (James Torrington Bell 1890 - 1970) original oil on canvas as per photos - (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc & make things look brighter & better than they really are) Quite a neat retro piece. I do not know the title and it is not dated. Bit hard to photo as I kept getting some camera flash reflection. I think it is in good reasonable condition for its age, but does have wear, paint cracking and crazing, marks, spots and has a small dent in the canvas etc etc, so has heaps of faults, but still looks quite neat I think and from a known & collectable (Scotts) artist. It is not glassed. I think its quite neat, and would be great in the right setting or for the right collector. The frame is ok, has marks, scrapes, wear, stains etc etc, but I think its good enough for what it is. Outside frame measures approx 670mm x 560mm odd or thereabouts. What you can actually see of the picture itself is approx 595mm x 495mm odd. Measurements are given, so please use them to compare to something else you own to give you a better idea of size. There's a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state and condition etc, and to help you decide its value & suitability to your use, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition and other things you may want to know. And if not sure, ask a question !!!! We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk. Couriers & PO etc do not cover antiques, collectables & heaps of other things so is sent entirely at your risk. Please note the different postage options and choose the right one for your situation. (so if you are rural delivery, choose the Rural delivery option) And sometimes there may be more expensive options, which can be good when combining auctions (if it works) and the smaller option for a single item.
