A valuable small framed and mounted quality original water colour painting (under glass) of Te Puki Kawiti of the Ngapuhi iwi as a young rangatira. Painted by the portrait artist C McInnes as one of several of maori paintings completed by this artist. The painting is initialled, and then signed by the artist on the rear. It is titled ‘Te Puki Kawiti - Napuhi Rangatira’.
