Description
This is a fabulous 1970's traditional painting from Ubud, Bali.
It is framed in a hand carved Balinese frame which does require some repair work. The frame is not damaged - rather just coming apart with age. The photos show it all.
The painting is in excellent condition - no holes or tears. It is signed and dated 1979.
It is signed but I have given up trying to identify Balinese artist's signatures. Their lineage is so so complicated - I guess you have to be a local to make sense of it.
The painting measures approx 66 cm wide and 48 cm deep. The frame 80 cm wide and 95 cm deep.
Traditional Balinese paintings are done in several steps — first, drawing and outlining, then adding detail with pen and ink, and finishing with watercolor.
Well drawn and painted Kamasan style painting with amazing detail on canvas.
I would like it picked up but am happy for Pack & Send to pick up for packing and sending to you at your cost.
