Description
A vintage watercolour portrait painting with an initialled signature from 1941.
The artist's initials appear to be C.F.T or possibly G.F.T. - see photo. Would appreciate being advised the artist's name if anyone knows.
With the date 1941 we are in the Second World War, Pearl Harbour being attacked in December of that year. One can't help but wonder what part if any this young man played.
Painting is in it's original frame measuring 41cm by 50cm and is protected behind glass.
In respect of condition, the painting is a little loose in the frame, which is a little worse for wear. The artwork itself is in reasonably good condition with only a couple of minor spots and signs of possible historic water stain right top side. See photos.
