Inspired by the original vintage Make Do and Mend pamphlet that was issued by the British Ministry of Information during WWII. The pamphlet provided housewives with thrifty advice and design ideas to help them cope with harsh wartime rationing and included useful tips on how to mend and reuse old clothing.

We believe those same principles of taking good care of the things you have and recycling or re-purposing whatever you can are just as relevant today as they were back then.
